Sony Centre for the Performing Arts

Located at 1 Front Street East, the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts first opened as the O’Keefe Centre on October 1, 1960. The structure is designated as a heritage building by the City of Toronto. The Sony Centre was closed for two years to undergo major renovations and reopened to the public in October 2010. Countless artists from every genre have performed in this amazing building, and it was a real treat during my visit to be able to wander the stage area and view the hall from a performer’s perspective.
