The first stop on our Mountain Tour was Banff, one of Canada's most popular tourist destinations (as we found out as we were fighting our way through the crowds). Known for its mountainous surroundings and hot springs, it is a destination for outdoor sports and features extensive hiking, biking and skiing within the area. We didn't do any of those things, but we nonetheless had a good time exploring the town in the limited amount of time we had.
