Icefields Parkway

The Icefields Parkway is Highway 93, running from Lake Louise to the town of Jasper in the north. It is much, much more than just a highway - it is actually one of the most scenic drives in the world if you have good weather conditions. This incredible scenic drive is punctuated by more than 100 ancient glaciers, waterfalls cascading from dramatic rock spires and turquoise lakes set in sweeping valleys.

From Banff to Jasper the weather was terrible - rain, mist, light snow - so we didn't see too much on the way up to Jasper. The drive back the next day, however, was a totally different story and we enjoyed some incredible and unforgettable mountain views.
