Château Frontenac & Dufferin Terrace

No matter what part of Québec City you're in, you will probably still be able to see the beautiful and impressive Château Frontenac. It was designed by Bruce Price and built by the Canadian Pacific Railway company. The hotel is presently managed by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. The Frontenac opened in 1893, and has 18 floors.

The Frontenac is fronted by the expansive Dufferin Terrace, which is a perpetual beehive of activity at any time of the day.

The Toboggan Run
On the west end of the Dufferin Terrace is a 490-foot ramp used annually as a toboggan run during Quebec Winter Carnival.

There is an art gallery within the lobby of the Chateau Frontenac. A few of the pieces from the gallery were on display in the ground floor hallways of the hotel. Oh, by the way, if you're interested in buying this piece it's going for $30,000.00.
