Haarlem

Haarlem is a smaller city in the Netherlands, about a 15-minute train ride from Amsterdam. It currently has a population of about 155,000. Many of the residents commute to Amsterdam for work so Haarlem remains somewhat of a “bedroom” of Amsterdam. Haarlem is a very old city (was granted city status in the year 1270), and is very peaceful, historic and immaculately landscaped. From Amsterdam, we took the train to Haarlem and enjoyed a day in this beautiful little city.
