London's Paddington Station is one of the main train terminals in the city. Great Western Railway (GWR) trains operate from here, and there are Underground stops at Paddington from several of the lines. The Heathrow Express, which is the express train to London's Heathrow Airport, also operates from the station. And of course, we must not forget that Paddington was the inspiration for the famous bear of the same name.
I have always admired the slightly grand architecture of Paddington Station. Much of the station dates from 1854 and was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. I was through the station several times during this trip so I grabbed a few shots.
